Golden Retriever/Chow Chow/Shepherd? Mix Female

Aspen is a mutt that I adopted from the animal shelter when she was 3 months old. They told me she was a shepherd mix, but she doesn't look like it now. Best guess is Golden/Chow, guess she could be part shepherd too that would explain the semi-short hair maybe. I'd wanted a dog for years, finally had the opportunity to get one again.

September 26, 2006: New pictures of her today, she's so pretty. Even if she does look mostly like a golden retriever. Had to bathe her because she had an appointment at the vet's today to get her rabies shot and a pedicure. She was such a good girl on the ride over there and the ride back, she loves to ride in the car. She got a little excited while we waited because of all the cats and dogs in the office, but overall she behaved really well for a puppy. Unlike our cats she was quite happy to be there around other animals and people. Apparently she didn't remember the spaying that well. :)

She's a whopping 58+ pounds now and still not even a year old.

Aspen and Wisper are great friends, they play with each other, sleep with each other, and get lonely without each other. It's great to watch them together, but I wish she'd stop eating his poor tail!
