The Does - August 30, 2006

Decided it was about time to update the website with pictures of the rats again. They've all grown so much! Trinket is still my favorite, and Rattie, the others are kind of crazy so they don't get to come out as much.

Rattie
Rattie's the only one left that isn't related to the others. She's also the oldest and the one that got me into rats again. She's a very spoiled big fat doe. :) Black hooded with interesting lightning marking.
Friday, October 13, 2006: Rattie is gone. I came in to find her struggling to breathe and unable to move so all I could do was hold her until she was gone. It's a cool beautiful autumn day outside, so I took her to sit under the trees and tried to comfort her as best I could. Goodbye, Rattie, I hope you find your companion Shadow on the other side waiting for you.

Trinket
Trinket is my special one. Rescued from a horrible cage and a destiny of being fed to a snake. I fell in love with her the moment I saw her, and she'll always have a special place in my heart. She's the mother of all the rest except Rattie. Blue-ish tan hooded with verigated back and teardrop marking on forehead.

Vixen
Vixen is the largest and friendliest of the girl babies. She doesn't mind being held and she's rather lazy, likes to sit around eating or sleeping. Brown with white underbelly. She's probably my favorite of the baby girls.

Dart
Very appropriately named, Dart is always running/jumping somewhere. Have to be careful when I take her out because she's a slippery one and likes to try to escape. Blue-ish tan hooded, with faded spot on back and tiny white dot on forehead. Squall's twin, if they hadn't been different genders I never woulda been able to tell them apart.

Splash
Splash is one of the silky blacks with white underbellies. The only way I can tell her apart from Pixie most of the time is she has higher white on one side, and she's bigger than Pixie.

Pixie
The other black with white underbelly. Pixie is fast, tiny, and timid. Her and Splash tend to stick together so that makes it even harder to tell them apart!
